Acknowledgements

Jack Hernon is a local artist and is a recipient of a 2009 Project Grant from The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County
His artwork, ” Old Salem Coffeepot,” is featured on the cover of the October2009 Magazine “Winston-Salem Living”.
Habitat for Humanity 2009 Birdfeast awarded the “RMIC Award of Excellence” to local artists Jack Hernon, for his abstract painting “Home Coming” .

Grants

The Project Grant Jack recieved was Supported by a grant from The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County with funding from the State of North Carolina, an agency of
the Department of Cultural Resources and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.

Research grant, Oklahoma Arts and Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, November 1976. Painting and altering SX-70 photographs. In association with Polaroid Corporation.

Kerr Foundation Grant, 1978. Installation and creation of 32” x 35” x 12 Neon sculpture in Omniplex Arts & Science Foundation of Oklahoma City.
