Acknowledgements

Jack Hernon is a local artist and is a recipient of a 2009 Project Grant from The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County.

His artwork, “Old Salem Coffeepot,” is featured on the cover of the October 2009 magazine “Winston-Salem Living.”

Habitat for Humanity 2009 Birdfeast awarded the “RMIC Award of Excellence” to local artist Jack Hernon, for his abstract painting “Home Coming.”

Grants

The Project Grant Jack recieved was Supported by a grant from The Arts Council of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County with funding from the State of North Carolina, an agency of the Department of Cultural Resources and the National Endowment for the Arts, which believes that a great nation deserves great art.

Research grant, Oklahoma Arts and Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Arts, November 1976. Painting and altering SX-70 photographs. In association with Polaroid Corporation.

Kerr Foundation Grant, 1978. Installation and creation of 32" x 35" x 12 Neon sculpture in Omniplex Arts & Science Foundation of Oklahoma City.
